Prishtina, 25th of February 2016/ Today, next to the Basic Court in Ferizaj, Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosova has filed indictment against the defendant, S. I., for committing criminal offense: Joining or Participation in a Foreign Army or Police, in foreign paramilitary and parapolice formations, in organized groups or individually, outside the territory of the Republic of Kosova, as stipulated by Article 3, par.4 of the Law on Prohibition of Joining the Armed Conflicts Outside State Territory.

As per indictment, the defendant S. I., starting from October of 2013 until November of 2015, in the social network “Facebook” has continuously commented and published propaganda, inciting hatred against the international coalition fighting against the terrorist organization “ISIS”, and has publically supported the extreme ideology and actions of the named terrorist organization. He has undertaken the respective in order to have different persons or groups join armed formations of ISIS, and he has also established contacts with persons who are directly participating in the war in Syria and Iraq, and has also publically invited ISIS to “Liberate Kosovo, too”.

Thus, upon those actions the defendant has committed the above given offense.

As per this indictment, during the searching of the defendant`s house in the village Rezhancë, Police of the Republic of Kosova has also found in the possession of S.I. a functional long carbine riffle MPERY3GE44, a sniper optic and cartridge.

Thus, the defendant S.I. is also charged for committing criminal offense: Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons, as stipulated by Article 374, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosova.

The indictment has been filed by a local Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosova, who has recommended to the Court to find the defendant guilty for the committed criminal offenses and punish him as provided by Law.
